PLAN YOUR PERFECT NIGHT OUT WITH CROESO PUBS

Established in the 1960s, our pub takes its name from the iconic ship that Captain Robert Scott sailed on his first expedition across the Antarctic – The Discovery.
Captain Scott, a celebrated explorer, later initiated another expedition, departing from Cardiff aboard the Terra Nova in 1910. Ultimately, this journey concluded in tragedy, leaving an enduring imprint on history. The Discovery pub, named in tribute to Scott’s initial expedition vessel, embodies the adventurous ethos that characterises our establishment.
Situated near the Captain Robert Scott memorial clock tower in Roath Park, The Discovery pub stands as a beacon of camaraderie and exploration. Our commitment to preserving history is reflected in our original 1960s layout. The Discovery offers a welcoming atmosphere where stories unfold, and memories are made.
